Calculating for complex room shapes or non-standard layouts can be confusing. Our tool handles all the math for you.

1. Enter the room dimensions—length and width.
2. Choose from 9 laying patterns, from "straight plank" to "chevron".
3. Specify the dimensions of your boards.
4. Get your results: the number of boards, total area with waste, and skirting footage. For greater accuracy, you can subtract door openings from the skirting calculation.

What does the calculator account for?

• Smart, Not Average Waste: For "straight plank", "herringbone", or "chevron" patterns, we apply specific calculation logic, not a single, generic coefficient. This provides a result that is much closer to real-world usage.
• Adhesive Consumption: The calculator automatically estimates the required amount of adhesive (e.g., MS-polymer) at a rate of 1.5 kg per m².
• Skirting with Door Adjustments: The linear meterage is calculated. The width of door openings can be subtracted.
• Complex Geometry: Check the corresponding box if the room has niches, protrusions, or convectors—additional waste will be factored in.
• Estimated Cost: Enter the price per m² and per linear meter of skirting to see an immediate budget overview.
